This is a 17 hour conversion course for caregivers who have previously completed a CNA or PCA course and wish to gain further experience in the Home Care field . The class is 17 hours long.

Pre-requisites: 46 hours experience in CNA or PCA work.

Cost: $275

This course teaches you the skills required to take personal care of clients within the home or an Assisted Living Facility. This class is 24 hours long.

(NOTE: Please be advised some agencies require 46 hours of Homemaker training first).

Note: Some Agencies may require Homemaking as a Pre-requisite if the PCA service they provide is for ASAP clients

Cost: $250

This class covers successful communication skills for interacting with people with dementia, as well as how to assess and respond to behaviors. Learn    how to avoid unnecessary stress triggers which may result in challenging interactions. This class is for family, friends and volunteer caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. This class is 12 hours long.

Cost: $180 

Hospice care is an approach to caring for terminally ill individuals that stresses palliative care (relief of pain and uncomfortable symptoms), as opposed to curative care.  In addition to meeting the patient’s medical needs, hospice care addresses the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patient, as well as the psychosocial needs of the patient’s family/caregiver. The emphasis of the hospice program is on keeping the hospice patient at home with family and friends as long as possible. This is a 16 hour course.
